Revamped Vacation Settings and the corresponding fulfillment extension
Merchants are expected to fulfill as quickly as possible to provide timely delivery for creating the best customer experience and prevent refunds.
This year we will launch a revamped Vacation Settings feature on January 13, 2023, Beijing Time, which no longer pauses the operations of some or all merchants' warehouse(s) during the vacation. The revamped Vacation Settings allows merchants to designate the start date and end date of their vacation between one to seven calendar days. It will then automatically extend the fulfillment timeline to merchants’ orders released during the merchant-designated vacation time frame based on the number of days merchants set. Therefore, merchants can continue operating their stores and warehouses during the holiday without worrying about fulfillment-related infractions due to holiday-related fulfillment delays.
Note: For merchants who previously have selected “Pause Primary Warehouse only” or “Pause All Warehouse(s),” their existing vacation settings will not be impacted. Once the existing vacation settings end, merchants can set up new vacation settings via the revamped feature as needed.
If merchants would like to update their Vacation Settings during the upcoming holiday, please navigate to Merchant Dashboard > Settings > Vacation > Vacation Settings page and select one of the following options for the store, as needed:
-
Make all warehouse(s) operational:
This is the default option selected for merchants, which means all orders will be subject to the Merchant Policy "Fulfillment" timeline of marking orders as “shipped” within five calendar days after the order released time.
-
Apply to Primary warehouse only:
Selecting this option is helpful for merchants who need to extend the fulfillment timeline for orders from their Primary warehouse. Merchants may designate their vacation period between one to seven calendar days and orders for products in merchants’ Primary warehouse will have extended fulfillment timelines based on the length of their vacation. Customers will also see later estimated delivery dates.
Orders from their Secondary warehouses will not receive any fulfillment timeline extensions, and the standard fulfillment timeline will apply.
-
Apply to all warehouse(s):
If merchants select this option, orders for all merchants’ products will have extended fulfillment timelines based on the length of their vacation, and customers will see later estimated delivery dates.
Specifically, by selecting “Apply to Primary warehouse only” or “Apply to all warehouse(s),” merchants may designate their vacation period between one to seven calendar days. Based on the number of days merchants set, the feature will automatically extend the fulfillment timeline to merchants’ orders released during the merchant-designated vacation time frame and shipped from merchants’ Primary warehouse or all warehouse(s). Detailed adjustments are as follows:
- An extension of one to seven calendar days will apply to the standard five-calendar-day mark shipped timeline (per Merchant Policy 5.1), 168-hour or 336-hour confirmed fulfilled timeline (per Merchant Policy 5.3) and X-calendar-day confirmed delivered timeline (per Merchant Policy 7.6.3).
- The order’s estimated arrival time shown to customers will extend accordingly. Note that the feature will extend customers' estimated delivery dates by days.
- If Advanced Logistics Program or EPC Blue orders are delivered to the corresponding warehouses within the extended fulfillment timeline from order release time, merchants will be exempt from the late arrival fee outlined in Merchant Policy 5.8 (for Advanced Logistics Program orders).
- Wish Standards’ confirmed fulfillment speed will be adjusted accordingly for merchants’ stores. (Note that all other Wish Standards’ performance metrics will not be adjusted.)
Example of setting “Apply to Primary Warehouse”:
A merchant selects “Apply to Primary Warehouse only” and designates the vacation time frame from January 21 to January 27, 2023, Beijing Time. The fulfillment timeline of the orders released between January 21, 2023, 12:00 AM, Beijing Time and January 27, 2023, 11:59 PM, Beijing Time will be extended by seven calendar days. Specifically,
- This merchant can mark an above-defined order as “shipped” within 12 calendar days after the order released time (extended from five calendar days, per the normal Merchant Policy 5.1).
- If the order’s (merchant product price + shipping price) per item is < $100 and it is confirmed fulfilled within 14 calendar days / 336 hours (extended from 168 hours) of the order being released, the order will be exempt from Merchant Policy 5.3 infractions. If the order’s (merchant price + shipping price) per item is ≥ $100 and it is confirmed fulfilled within 21 calendar days / 504 hours (extended from 336 hours) of the order being released, the order will be exempt from Merchant Policy 5.3 infractions as well.
- If a refund occurs and the order is confirmed delivered by X+7 calendar days (extended from X calendar days, per the normal Merchant Policy 7.6.3) after the order is released to the merchant, the merchant will NOT be responsible for the cost of the refund.
- The order’s estimated arrival time shown to customers will be extended by seven calendar days.
- If Advanced Logistics Program or EPC Blue orders released during the vacation time frame are delivered to the corresponding warehouses within 14 calendar days after the order released time (extended from 168 hours / seven calendar days), merchants will be exempt from the late arrival fee outlined in Merchant Policy 5.8 (for Advanced Logistics Program orders).
- Wish Standards’ confirmed fulfillment speed will be adjusted accordingly for merchants’ stores.
Configure vacation settings for 2023 Chinese New Year store operations
Merchants can now configure their vacation settings for the 2023 Chinese New Year. To make a selection, first navigate to the Merchant Dashboard Settings > Vacation > Vacation Settings page:
The “Current setting” will show “Make all warehouse(s) operational” (i.e., no extension) if merchants haven’t already selected “Apply to Primary warehouse only” or “Apply to all warehouse(s).”
The “Setting Types” section summarizes the three types of selections merchants can make, as outlined in detail above:
- Make all warehouse(s) operational
- Apply to Primary warehouse only
- Apply to all warehouse(s)
To start making changes, please click “Edit Vacation Settings” on this page and select an option in the popup modal that follows. For example, merchants choose Apply to Primary warehouse only, designate a start and end date for their vacation as needed, and click “Save” to confirm selection:
Merchants are then redirected to the Vacation Settings page and will see their scheduled selection presented (as shown below), taking effect for all orders shipped from their Primary warehouse and released between January 21, 2023, 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, and January 27, 2023, 11:59 PM, Beijing Time.
Merchants can click “Turn Off all Vacation Settings” to return their vacation settings from “Apply to Primary warehouse only”/“Apply to all warehouse(s)” to “Make all warehouse(s) operational.” Once their vacation settings are returned to “Make all warehouse(s) operational,” all orders will be subject to the Merchant Policy "Fulfillment" timeline of marking orders as “shipped” within five calendar days after the order released time.
Merchants may update their vacation settings at any time. The updated vacation settings will apply only to orders released after the time they make the update. For example,
- Merchant does not set up any vacation settings on January 11, 2023, Beijing Time.
-
- Order A releases with no fulfillment extension.
- Merchant selects “Apply to Primary warehouse only” on January 12, 2023, 9:00 AM, Beijing Time and sets the vacation period from January 21, 2023, to January 27, 2023.
-
- Order A still has no fulfillment extension.
- Orders B for the merchant’s Primary warehouse and released between January 21, 2023, 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, and January 27, 2023, 11:59 PM, Beijing Time will have a seven-calendar-day fulfillment extension, with a total of 12 calendar days fulfillment period available.
- Merchant later updates the vacation settings to “Make all warehouse(s) operational” on January 23, 2023, 9:00 AM, Beijing Time.
-
- Order A still has no fulfillment extension and Order B (if released between January 21, 2023, 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, and January 23, 2023, 11:59 PM, Beijing Time) has a seven-calendar-day fulfillment extension.
- Order C released after January 23, 2023, 9:00 AM, Beijing Time will have no fulfillment extension.
Note: Vacations cannot exceed seven consecutive days, or seven days at a time, in one calendar month.
This means that merchants can only designate their vacation period between one to seven calendar days. Additionally, the overall vacation days merchants set for “Apply to Primary warehouse only” and “Apply to all warehouse(s)” will be calculated together and the maximum number of days merchants can set for vacation is seven calendar days in one calendar month.
If merchants need to set a vacation longer than seven calendar days, please contact the Account Manager/Business Development/General Support.
Advanced Logistics Program and EPC Blue Preparation
We strongly encourage that merchants fulfill their Advanced Logistics Program and EPC Blue orders as quickly as possible during the 2023 Chinese New Year holiday to provide timely delivery for creating the best customer experience and prevent refunds. Please download this spreadsheet for detailed 2023 Chinese New Year holiday schedules for Advanced Logistics Program’s pickup carriers (Yanwen and Wise). In addition, the HUB program will operate as normal during the 2023 Chinese New Year holiday, so merchants may consider leveraging it for their first-mile delivery for EPC Blue and Advanced Logistics Program orders.
If merchants have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact WishPost Customer Service.
Once again if merchants select “Apply to Primary Warehouse only” or “Apply to all warehouse(s)” outlined above, the fulfillment extension will apply to Advanced Logistics Program and EPC Blue orders released within the merchant-designated vacation time frame.
Note that for relevant orders released outside of the merchant-designated vacation time frame, merchants are still required to comply with the standard 168-hour delivery timeline to warehouses for their Advanced Logistics Program and EPC Blue orders, and will be subject to the late arrival fee outlined in Merchant Policy 5.8.
In addition, the Uni-Inventory Program will operate as normal to offer storage and order fulfillment services during the upcoming 2023 Chinese New Year holiday. Therefore, it can be especially helpful for merchants to fulfill Advanced Logistics Program Orders and non-Advanced Logistics Program orders shipped via certain WishPost logistics channels. If merchants plan to leverage the Uni-Inventory Program during the holiday, please prepare for and deliver sufficient inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse in advance.

Wish Express and Overseas Inventory Operations
During the several weeks around the 2023 Chinese New Year, Wish products that offer fast-shipping options such as those with Wish Express enabled will likely experience increased demand from customers.
In anticipation of this potentially increased demand and sales for Wish Express products, merchants are strongly encouraged to prepare for sufficient overseas and/or Wish Express inventory now. Mainland China-based merchants can set up max delivery days for their products in their Secondary warehouses (essentially overseas warehouses for merchants based in Mainland China). Based on the max delivery days set for specific destination countries, the products may or may not qualify for Wish Express, but merchants can still stock and sell them from their Secondary warehouses.
Bonus Budget for ProductBoost
To help merchants generate sales and maximize their product visibility on Wish, we will launch the limited-time Bonus Budget promotion for merchants creating or auto-renewing ProductBoost campaigns scheduled to start between January 19, 2023, 12:00 AM, UTC and February 19, 2023, 12:00 PM, UTC. Campaigns scheduled to start or auto-renew after February 19, 2023, 12:00 PM, UTC will not qualify for this round of Bonus Budget promotion.
Bonus Budget is a limited-time ProductBoost promotion available to all merchants, at no additional cost to the merchants. With the revamped Vacation Settings feature outlined above, merchants can continue operating their stores and warehouses during the 2023 Chinese New Year holiday. Therefore, we strongly encourage merchants to take advantage of Bonus Budget to help increase sales for their products. Please note that Bonus Budget also applies to ProductBoost campaigns with IntenseBoost enabled.
This round of Bonus Budget promotion will apply a bonus budget amount of 20% of the campaign’s original budget to the total budget, at no additional cost to merchants. The amount of the bonus budget spent during the campaign will be proportional to the total actual spend of the campaign (see below for an example).
Bonus Budget Spend Example:
A merchant has set a budget of $100 for a ProductBoost campaign. Bonus Budget will apply a bonus budget amount of 20% of the campaign’s original budget to the total budget. As such, a bonus of $20 will be added to the original budget of $100. After clicking Save campaign, merchants will have a total budget of $120 available to spend on the campaign. The campaign runs and results in $90 of the total budget being spent. The bonus budget that was initially added to the original budget will be spent to proportionally match the now lowered total budget spend. To calculate the final used bonus budget, we use the following formula:
Total Budget Spend * (Bonus Budget / Total Budget) = Final Used Bonus Budget
For the above example, this would be:
90 * (20/120) = 15
The final used bonus budget amount here is $15. The Merchant will only be charged $75 (total budget spend of $90 minus the bonus budget spent of $15), as the bonus budget is applied to the total budget spend amount.
Per the above example, merchants will not be charged for their final used bonus budget, and will only be charged for their total budget spend amount minus the final used bonus budget amount for their campaign. Bonus Budget will automatically apply when a newly-created or auto-renewed ProductBoost campaign starts between January 19, 2023, 12:00AM, UTC and February 19, 2023, 12:00PM, UTC. No additional action is necessary to apply Bonus Budget. After this round of Bonus Budget promotion ends on February 19, 2023, 12:00PM, UTC, merchants can continue to leverage ProductBoost to help increase sales of existing products, kickstart sales of new products, and encourage user engagement.
