All U.S. merchants or merchants with U.S. operations are required to provide your U.S. Tax Identification number or certification that you are non-U.S. merchants.
You can provide your information to Wish by clicking here (note that you need a google account to access this form). The form will guide you through entering your taxpayer information and validating your Form W-9 or W-8BEN (E) information. Alternatively, you can also submit your tax identity information directly to taxsettings@wish.com.
If I am a U.S. taxpayer, what information do I provide?
You can validate your tax identity by providing your name, address, and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) or completing the Form W-9. In most cases, your TIN is either an Employer Identification Number (EIN) or a Social Security Number (SSN).
If I am not a U.S taxpayer, what information do I provide?
Non-U.S. taxpayers should provide Form W-8BEN/W-8BEN-E to Wish in order to be exempt from U.S. tax reporting requirements.
- Non-U.S. domiciled business entity - you can validate your tax identity by providing a completed Form W8-BEN-E.
- Non-U.S. domiciled individual - you can validate your tax identity by providing a completed Form W8-BEN.
In general, the IRS requires that Wish collect identifying information from merchants who have a U.S. address, U.S. banking information, or other identifying information connecting the merchants to the U.S.
