To help lower costs and simplify the process for merchants’ warehouse operation, WishPost launched the Uni-Inventory Program to provide additional warehouse options for merchants to consider for fulfilling their Advanced Logistics Program Orders and non-Advanced Logistics Program orders shipped via certain WishPost logistics channels. Specifically, starting January 28, 2021 10:00AM Beijing Time, Mainland China-based merchants may choose to ship their inventory to the WishPost-designated Uni-Inventory warehouse in China. The Uni-Inventory warehouse can provide a free storage period (90 calendar days) and also take care of order fulfillment including pick, pack, and ship upon merchants’ requests (see details below).
This FAQ walks merchants through some commonly-asked questions about the Uni-Inventory Program. 1. To whom is the Uni-Inventory Program available?
The Uni-Inventory Program is currently available to all Mainland China-based merchants fulfilling Advanced Logistics Program orders and non-Advanced Logistics Program orders shipped via certain WishPost logistics channels. Please note that we are constantly working with logistics partners to offer more choices for merchants, so the WishPost logistics channels supported by the Uni-Inventory Program may be adjusted without notice, and we strongly encourage merchants to check the channel list in advance.
Merchants are not required to participate in this program, but it is one additional option available to merchants, starting January 28, 2021 Beijing Time.

2. How does the Uni-Inventory Program benefit merchants?
Previously, in the process of fulfilling orders, small and medium-sized merchants have to navigate several challenges such as complex operational processes, limited pickup services, high warehouse operation costs, and more.
The Uni-Inventory Program can take the frustration out of order fulfillment and warehouse operation with its variety of benefits including free storage period (90 calendar days), efficient order fulfillment service, simple operation process, competitive service rate, and compensation for lost or damaged products.
Currently, merchants can choose to create general inbound requests or drop shipping inbound requests.
General inbound request:
Merchants can follow the process of creating general inbound requests, delivering inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse and creating outbound requests to enjoy the warehouse storage and order fulfillment service offered by the program. Specifically, the Uni-Inventory warehouse will provide a free storage period (90 calendar days) and also take care of order fulfillment including pick, pack, and ship upon merchants’ requests. Please note that the free storage period of the Uni-Inventory warehouse is only 90 calendar days. After 90 calendar days, merchants will be responsible for any storage cost, which will be calculated and charged at 12:00AM Beijing Time every day.
In addition, for merchants creating general inbound request to fulfill orders via the Uni-Inventory warehouse, the late fulfillment infraction(s) outlined in the Fulfillment policy will be waived if the following criteria is met:
- The outbound request (i.e., inventory being shipped out of the Uni-Inventory warehouse) is made by merchants and accepted in WishPost within 24 hours after an order is released to merchants.
For merchants creating general inbound requests to fulfill Advanced Logistics Program orders via the Uni-Inventory warehouse, the late arrival fee outlined in the Advanced Logistics Program late fulfillment policy will also be waived if the above criteria is met.
Drop shipping inbound request:
Merchants can create drop shipping inbound requests to leverage the Uni-Inventory warehouse as a transit warehouse for packing and shipping drop shipping orders. When creating drop shipping inbound requests, you only need to provide tracking numbers of your drop shipping orders and the corresponding WishPost shipping orders. After the Uni-Inventory warehouse confirms your drop shipping inbound request and receives the corresponding goods, it will take care of packing and shipping your orders to the Advanced Logistics Program warehouses or other addresses upon your requests.
Given the simple operation process and efficient order fulfillment service offered by the program, this new drop shipping function can effectively save time, lower operation cost, and improve first-mile efficiency for merchants.
In addition, for merchants creating drop shipping inbound request to fulfill orders via the Uni-Inventory warehouse, the late fulfillment infraction(s) outlined in the Fulfillment policy will be waived if the following criteria are met:
- The goods are delivered and scanned into the Uni-Inventory warehouse within 24 hours of the time after an order is released to merchants.
For merchants creating drop shipping inbound requests to fulfill Advanced Logistics Program orders via the Uni-Inventory warehouse, the late arrival fee outlined in Advance Logistics Program late fulfillment policy will also be waived if the above criteria is met.

3. What is the address for the Uni-Inventory warehouse?
Merchants can deliver their relevant inventory to one of the following WishPost-designated Uni-Inventory warehouses:
Hangzhou Uni-Inventory warehouse:

We may add more Uni-Freight warehouses as the program grows, and will promptly notify merchants of any updates.
4. How can merchants deliver their relevant inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse?
At the launch of the program, merchants shall self-deliver the inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse using shipping methods of their own choices. As the program grows in the future, we may also provide pickup services and will promptly notify merchants of any updates.
5. Are there any packaging requirements?
Yes. Please note that merchants need to first create an inbound request in WishPost before delivering inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse.
Starting March 10, 2021 10:00AM Beijing Time, merchants can choose whether to pack inventory by the Uni-Inventory warehouse or by themselves, when creating the inbound request. If merchants choose to pack inventory by the Uni-Inventory warehouse, please print the batch label and the SKU label, and place the relevant labels on the outside of the correct box. The batch label and the SKU label will be generated after the inbound request is successfully created in WishPost. We recommend packing items of different SKUs separately in different boxes. Otherwise, please group items with the same SKU together and put SKU labels on each package so that the warehouse can identify and further handle the inventory.
If merchants choose to pack inventory by themselves, they will also need to pack each item separately in its own unique package (as if it were being sent to a customer). Specifically, please pack items separately in the courier bag or bubble bag based on the SKU and place the SKU label on each package. Please note that if merchants do not pack the inventory according to the packing requirement of the Uni-Inventory warehouse, the relevant order may still need to be packed by the Uni-Inventory warehouse.
For merchants creating drop shipping inbound requests, the Uni-Inventory warehouse will take care of packing your goods.
6. How do I pay for the shipping cost?
Please note that merchants still need to follow the current process to create shipping orders via WishPost for fulfilling their orders, including selecting the appropriate logistics channel and paying the shipping fee in WishPost.
7. When will the inventory be checked in and sent out?
Please allow 24 hours for the warehouse to check in the inventory upon receipt and to send out the order upon receiving the outbound request.
8. What if the inventory is lost or damaged?
The Uni-Inventory Program will compensate 70% of the product’s selling price set by merchants (exclude the shipping price), up to 500 RMB per product, for the situations below:
- The inventory is lost in the Uni-Inventory warehouse;
- The inventory is damaged in the Uni-Inventory warehouse and cannot be sold;
- The inventory is lost when delivering from the Uni-Freight warehouse to the Advanced Logistics Program warehouse.
9. Are there any other discounts that merchants can enjoy?
Yes, the Uni-Inventory Program currently has a limited-time Inventory Discount available to all WishPost merchants.
From April 21, 2021 10:00AM Beijing Time to December 31, 2021 11:59PM Beijing Time，all WishPost merchants can receive discounts on the operation fees based on the quantity of inventory that the Uni-Inventory warehouse has received and checked in. The more inventory checked in the Uni-Inventory warehouse, the higher discount rate you can enjoy.
