What are “fake tracking” numbers?
Fake tracking numbers are defined as tracking numbers that are intentionally inaccurate. Wish customers and the Wish platform are misled to believe these orders to be delivered or shipped when they are not.
What are some examples of fake tracking？
- Not shipping an order to the customer, and fulfilling an order with an illegitimate tracking number
- Shipping an empty package to the customer instead of their order, and fulfilling the order with a legitimate tracking number
- Shipping order to a customer in Sweden, and fulfilling the order with invalid or inaccurate shipping carrier and/or tracking number
What if I shipped the order correctly to the customer, but mistakenly fulfilled the order with an incorrect tracking number? Will that be considered to be “fake tracking”?
No, this will not be considered to be “fake tracking.” However, you should use the Modify Tracking tool (in Orders > History page for individual orders) to correct the tracking number for the order as soon as possible.
Where can I see which orders have received penalties?

You can also go directly here to view all late confirmed fulfillment penalties.
What is Fake Tracking Penalty Policy?
If an order is fulfilled using a fake tracking number, the merchant may be subject to penalties. the penalty amount issued = order value plus $500.
Order value is defined as 'quantity * (merchant price + merchant shipping)'.
The penalty can only be disputed and approved within 90 calendar days from when the penalty was created. If the penalty dispute is not approved within the 90 calendar day period from when the penalty was created, the penalty will not be reversed.
The following are two Merchant Policies related to fake tracking:
I fulfilled an order to Sweden, and I got a “Fake Tracking” penalty for the order. Why?
Sweden orders that are not fulfilled properly with an accepted shipping carrier may be subject to Wish policies, penalties, and possible suspension. For example, if an order is fulfilled with invalid and/or inaccurate tracking information, the merchant may be responsible for the refund cost and/or the merchant may receive a fake tracking penalty. We appreciate the attention and cooperation of merchants in providing the best customer service to our customers.
Wish reserves the right to change some or all of the terms, conditions, and policies of the service at any time.
