What do I need to provide to report trademark infringement?

If you are a rights owner with a registered trademark, or are authorized by the trademark owner to act on its behalf, you may report the allegedly infringing listings via Wish’s “Report IP Violations” online form. 

A complete trademark notice must include the following information:

1. Full legal name, and a physical or electronic signature of the trademark holder or its authorized representative.
2. Contact information of the trademark holder or its authorized representative.
3. Valid trademark registration issued by one of the following entities: 

   • USPTO

   • EUIPO

   • China patent and trademark office, or

   • Country-specific trademark registration

4. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing (Wish URL).
5. A statement that the notifier has a good faith belief that the material identified is not authorized by the trademark owner, its agent, or the law. 
6. A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and that the notifying party is authorized to make a complaint on behalf of the trademark owner.

If the notice is incomplete and/or requires additional validation, Wish’s Brand Protection team may contact the notice provider and request missing and/or additional information, including, but not limited to: government-issued photo ID, business license, proof of intellectual property, and any other information reasonably necessary to process the notice. Upon receipt of additional information, we will reevaluate the notice. 

Note, if you are an authorized representative and acting on behalf of the intellectual property right owner to report an allegedly infringing listing, you may be required to submit a power of attorney or an authorization letter appointing you as a designated enforcement representative.
