This article walks merchants through two types of warehouses that merchants can set up for their Wish accounts. Different types of products may be suited to be stocked in each type of warehouse.
Merchant Warehouse Types:
Below are the two types of warehouses that exist on Merchant Dashboard: Standard (Primary) and Secondary
Standard (Primary) warehouse:
This houses all products that ship standard shipping. This is the merchants' main/primary warehouse.
For merchants based in Mainland China:
- The Primary warehouse is located in Mainland China.
- Orders shipped from the Primary warehouse must be fulfilled through WishPost.
- The orders' shipping speeds are estimated and shown to customers by Wish, and merchants have no control over them.
For merchants based outside of Mainland China:
- The Primary warehouse can ship orders to any destination countries enabled in the Shipping Settings.
- The Primary warehouse is located outside of Mainland China.
- Merchants are able to set the max delivery days for products in the Primary warehouse. Based on the max delivery days set, products may be eligible for Wish Express benefits.
Secondary warehouse(s):
The Secondary warehouses can ship orders to any Wish-supported destinations enabled in the Shipping Settings.
For merchants based in Mainland China:
- The Secondary warehouses are essentially merchants' overseas warehouses located outside of Mainland China. Inventory in your Secondary warehouses is your overseas inventory.
- Merchants are able to use any of the Accepted Shipping Carriers to ship orders from their Secondary warehouses.
- Merchants are able to set the max delivery days for products in the Secondary warehouses. Based on the max delivery days set, products may be eligible for Wish Express benefits.
For merchants based outside of Mainland China:
- Merchants are able to set the max delivery days for products in the Secondary warehouses. Based on the max delivery days set, products may be eligible for Wish Express benefits.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How do I set up a Secondary warehouse?
In your Merchant Dashboard, navigate to the Products > View All Products page. The 'STANDARD (Primary)' warehouse tab is displayed, with a plus symbol located next to it. Click on '+' button to create a new Secondary warehouse. Alternatively, you may navigate to Products > Warehouse, and click the “Add Warehouse” button.
This will bring you to the Add warehouse page. In the “Warehouse details” section, you may provide details of your new Secondary warehouse.
In the “Warehouse shipping settings” section, you may select the destination(s) that this warehouse will ship to. You will only be able to select from destinations here that are enabled in your account level Shipping Settings. Note you may not add/remove destinations once the warehouse is created, but you may enable/disable destinations for individual products in the warehouse, in the Edit International Shipping Options page (more details below).
Once you provide all details for your new warehouse, click “Save” in the top right”. And now you have set up a new Secondary warehouse.
After the new warehouse has been added, you will be directed back to the View All Products page - from here, click on the tab with your newly created warehouse name. On this page, the inventory for all products from your Primary warehouse is automatically copied over, with all inventory quantities default to 0.
You may now set the correct inventory quantities for your products in the Secondary warehouse.
In addition, the per-product, per-destination shipping options (shipping price and max delivery days) are also ready for you to configure.
Simply click the 'Enable' link under each product's 'Country Shipping Price' on the View All Products page to be taken to this product's Edit International Shipping Options page. Here you can set the shipping prices and max delivery days for all destinations enabled (including Wish-supported destination sub-regions within Australia, Brazil, France, Spain, and the United States).
As mentioned previously, as long as merchants set the max delivery days for a destination as 5 or fewer business days (with the exception of the 12 countries listed in Merchant Policy 10.2)

2. What is the relationship between Wish Express and Primary/Secondary Warehouses?
Secondary warehouses were previously called Wish Express warehouses. However, after the naming update, we have expanded the capacity of Secondary warehouses by incorporating max delivery days that merchants can set for their products in Primary and/or Secondary warehouses.
Depending on the max delivery days set by merchants, products may be eligible for Wish Express benefits.
In addition, merchants can now ship from their newly-created Secondary warehouses to all destinations supported by Wish. As such, as long as merchants set the “max delivery days” for any destinations as 5 or fewer business days (with the exception of the 12 countries listed in Merchant Policy 10.2), related products will be considered Wish Express products and receive Wish Express benefits (this is a significantly beneficial change from the previous setup where only select destination countries are eligible for Wish Express).
If merchants do not manually set the “max delivery days” per product per destination, Wish will default the delivery days shown to customers as 5 business days (with the exceptions for 12 destination countries listed in Merchant Policy 10.2), and the product will be eligible to receive Wish Express benefits as well.

3. If I have multiple physical warehouses shipping to one destination, can I correspondingly have multiple Secondary warehouses configured?
Unfortunately, we do not support this at the moment. However, merchants may set up one Primary warehouse and one Secondary warehouse to ship to the same destination.
4. Where do I specify the warehouse destinations? Can I change the destination later?
You are able to specify the origin and destination countries/regions when you add a new Secondary warehouse. Please note that you cannot edit destinations after you have created a warehouse.
5. Is there a way to disable the product/SKU in each warehouse separately?
Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. Once a product is disabled in one warehouse, it is disabled in all warehouses. However, if you do not want to ship the product to a certain destination, you can set the inventory quantity for the product to 0 in order to make it unavailable for sale on Wish.
6. How many Secondary warehouses can I add?
We do not constrain the total number of Secondary warehouses you can add. Each newly-added Secondary warehouse also can now ship to any number of destination countries/regions.
7. How do I delete a warehouse?
Simply hover over the warehouse tabs you intend to remove and click the "Delete Warehouse" button on the upper right corner of the page:
8. How do I rename a Secondary warehouse?
Unfortunately, merchants are unable to edit the Secondary warehouse name after it is set.
9. How do I edit a Secondary warehouse address?
Merchants with Secondary warehouse(s) may edit the warehouse address(s) via Merchant Dashboard. This is especially important in the context of EU VAT if the current warehouse address is missing or inaccurate. Please see this guide for more information.
10. What happens when I add a new Secondary warehouse?
As mentioned above, all products from your Primary warehouse will be automatically copied over to the newly created Secondary warehouse with inventory quantities default to 0. The products' max delivery days will also default to 5 business days (with the exceptions for certain destination countries as outlined in Merchant Policy 10.2; for example, the default delivery timeline will be 6 business days for France). You may manually update the max delivery days as needed.
11. What happens when I add a new product and have multiple warehouses?
When you add a new product, the Primary warehouse will reflect the shipping and inventory quantities you provided for that product upon creation. This product will appear in the Secondary warehouses with inventory quantity default to 0. You may set the max delivery days and shipping prices per product afterward.
