It is each merchant's responsibility to ensure they are legally authorized to sell every product in the list on Wish.

Product listings may not infringe on the intellectual property of others. We are updating our policy to include unlicensed media such as DVDs, video games, and television series box sets.

Starting April 17, 2017, product listings of unlicensed media will be removed and merchants will face possible suspension or termination.

1. What does the current product policy state?

Product listings may not infringe on the intellectual property of others.

Product images and text may not infringe on the intellectual property of others. This includes, but is not limited to: copyright, trademarks, and patents. If a merchant is listing products that infringe on another's intellectual property, the products will be removed and their account will face possible suspension or termination.

If a merchant repeatedly infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, the account is at risk of suspension or termination.

3. What does unlicensed media mean?

Unlicensed media refers to DVDs, television series box sets, and video games that infringe on intellectual property.

• Unlicensed Television Series Box Sets
• Unlicensed Workout DVDs
• Unlicensed Video Games

 

4. What are some examples of unlicensed media?

5. When does this policy update take effect?

This policy update including unlicensed media takes effect April 17, 2017.

 

6. I received an infraction for my product but I have legal authorization to sell it. How do I dispute it?

It is each merchant's responsibility to ensure they are legally authorized to sell every product the list on Wish. A brand authorization allows a store to provide proof that they are authorized to list and sell a product without infringing on intellectual property.
