Advanced Logistics Program for Italy-bound orders overview

The Advanced Logistics Program for Italy-bound orders is officially launched for all Mainland China-based merchants with Italy enabled as a destination country. The Advanced Logistics Program aims to improve merchant logistics and overall customer experience on Wish. Merchants’ China-originating, Italy-bound orders will be automatically included in the Advanced Logistics Program. All eligible orders included in the Advanced Logistics Program will receive a number of logistics benefits offered by the Advanced Logistics Program. Eligible orders are also subject to Wish for Merchants Terms of Service as well as all Advanced Logistics Program Merchant Policies.

The below information applies to Advanced Logistics Program for Italy-bound orders only:

1. What is the shipping pricing for the two required WishPost logistics channels for Italy-bound Advanced Logistics Program orders?

2. What are the dimensions and weight limits for packages delivered to Advanced Logistics Program warehouse (Italy-bound orders)?

The dimension and weight limits for packages depend on the product types: general products, special products, and sensitive products.

Note that special products = products with built-in ion or button battery; sensitive products = products not categorized as general or special products; common sensitive products include but are not limited to eye shadow, lip gloss, liquid foundation, facial cream, facial mask, scrubbing cream, headphones, small speakers, etc.

For all Advanced Logistics Program orders arriving at the corresponding warehouses with the length of any side exceeding 55cm, the packages’ length, width, and height will be measured.

The dimension weight of the packages will be calculated as (Length x Width x Height) / 8,000 (measured in kg). And shipping fees will be charged based on the dimension weight or actual weight of the packages, whichever is greater.

3. Anything related to VAT/custom duty for Advanced Logistics Program for Italy-bound orders that merchants should be aware of?

Yes. Please specifically note that the Advanced Logistics Program for Italy-bound orders custom clearance mode is Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). Payments for VAT and customs duty are exempt for packages with declared value below 22 euros, while payments for VAT for packages with declared value of 22 to 150 euros (including 22 euros, excluding 150 euros) will be charged based on the declared value (custom duty also exempt for these packages). Currently, the Advanced Logistics Program for Italy-bound orders does NOT accept packages with declared value greater than or equal to 150 euros.

For packages with declared value of 22 to 150 euros, the unified VAT rate employed by Wish is 22%. The tax basis for calculating VAT is the declared value in WishPost for the shipping order. The resulting VAT amount will be deducted from the merchants’ WishPost account after merchants create the shipping order in WishPost.

Please correctly declare the actual value of the packages. Merchants will be responsible for package return from the customs and/or shipping carriers due to incorrect/fake declared value, and will be charged an additional package return processing fee of up to 10% of the package value.

In addition, please specifically note that, starting July 1, 2021, VAT exemption for the import of goods into the EU less than or equal to €22 Euro will be abolished. As a result, all goods imported into Italy will be subject to VAT. If the value of the package exceeds this amount, the customs may impose additional taxes based on the product category, and the customer (buyer) will be responsible for the tax.

Merchants should properly declare special or sensitive products in WishPost. In addition, when packaging sensitive products, please ensure safety during various processes from warehouses to destinations, including transportation, customs clearance, and customers unpacking.
