Over the past few years, the Korean Customs Service has been requiring the recipients’ Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCCC) when making customs clearance for shipments of personal goods entering South Korea. To help merchants comply with this requirement, improve logistics efficiency, and increase customer satisfaction, Wish provides merchants with the customer PCCC information so that South Korea-bound orders are processed at the Korean customs smoothly and delivered to the customers without delay.
This FAQ walks merchants through how Wish supports merchants in obtaining the customer PCCC information and comply with this requirement.
For South Korea-bound orders originated from Mainland China
If the customers provided their PCCC information to Wish, it will be automatically transmitted to our partner shipping carriers as part of the Advanced Logistics Program for Mainland China-originating, South Korea-bound orders. No additional actions are required from merchants for these orders.
For South Korea-bound orders that are not part of the Advanced Logistics Program, a “South Korea Order” flag will be added in the Merchant Dashboard to help merchants more easily identify the orders where PCCC needs to be provided to shipping carriers. For all South Korea-bound orders released after July 3, 2020 12:00AM UTC (excluding Advanced Logistics Program orders), the Merchant Dashboard Orders > Unfulfilled Orders and Orders > History pages will display this flag. For these orders, merchants may now transmit customer PCCC information to their shipping carriers electronically or offline by printing out parcel shipping labels with PCCC as part of the customers’ shipping addresses.
For example, the screenshot below shows how this flag and tooltip will appear on the Orders > Unfulfilled Orders page:

For South Korea-bound orders originated outside of Mainland China
For all South Korea-bound orders released after July 3, 2020 12:00AM UTC, the Merchant Dashboard Orders > Unfulfilled Orders page and Orders > History page will show a flag that states “South Korea Order” to indicate that customer PCCC for specific orders needs to be provided to the shipping carriers.
For example, the screenshot below shows how this flag and tooltip will appear on the Orders > Unfulfilled Orders page:
Upon collection of customer PCCC information, Wish will surface to merchants shipping South Korea-bound orders from outside of Mainland China the customer PCCC information via Orders > Unfulfilled Orders page and Orders > History page, CSV download, and API.
Merchants may then transmit customer PCCC information to their shipping carriers electronically or offline by printing out parcel shipping labels with PCCC as part of the customers’ shipping addresses to comply with the above requirement.
Merchants are able to access customer PCCC for all South Korea-bound orders via the following three methods:
Manually
Navigate to Orders > Unfulfilled Orders and/or Orders > History page. All South Korea-bound orders released after July 3, 2020 12:00AM UTC orders are marked with the flag shown above.
Locate such an order and navigate to the “Order details” page (on the Unfulfilled Orders page, click the three dots under the "Action" column, and click "View details"; on the History page, simply click the Order Id).
Navigate to “Order overview” section on this page, and you’ll see “Customer PCCC” at the bottom of the Shipping Address field:
Alternatively, on the Orders > Unfulfilled Orders and/or Orders > History page, you can navigate to the “Ship to” column of an order and click the link below. A popup modal will appear, and you will be able to view “Customer PCCC” at the bottom of the modal. See below for an example shown in the Orders > History page:
CSV Feed File
Also on the Orders > Unfulfilled Orders and/or Orders > History page, download all orders as a CSV file, and you will be able to find the “Customer Identity Number” column in the exported file that indicates the customer’s PCCC information:
API Retrieval
Merchants can view the customer PCCC when successfully calling the following API endpoints:
GET /api/v3/orders/{id}
GET /api/v3/orders
POST /api/v3/orders/bulk_get
PUT /api/v3/orders/{id}/tracking
PUT /api/v3/orders/{id}/refund
PUT /api/v3/orders/{id}/address
PUT /api/v3/orders/{id}
Specifically, the PCCC information will be provided under the ‘tax_information’ → ‘customer_identity_number’ field in API responses for South Korean-bound orders. The ‘tax_information’ → ‘customer_identity_number_type’ field will also indicate “PCCC”.
