It is the responsibility of each store on Wish to ensure they are legally authorized to sell each product they list. If a store is selling branded materials, they should add brand authorizations to provide proof of authorization to sell. If they do not, they could face infractions and possible suspension.
This article walks merchants through the process of creating a brand authorization and describes the documents needed.
1. Navigate to Products > Product Authorizations > Brand Authorizations on the Merchant Dashboard, and click "Create New":
2. Click Get Started when you are ready.
3. Upload intellectual property documents:

- Select the type of intellectual property document you will upload. This document should be a legal document proving the ownership or rights of an intellectual property
- Upload the intellectual property document. You may upload up to 5 files.
- Enter the Expiration Date, Brand Name and Owner Name as stated in the intellectual property document
- Select the type of authorization you have
- Confirm the information you have provided is correct and click Next
4. If you selected My supplier has permission from the intellectual property owner to resell, go to step 7 below.
5. Upload letter of authorization:

- Upload the letter of authorization, you may upload up to 5 documents
- Enter the Expiration Date as stated in the letter of authorization
- Provide the contact information for the person that issued the authorization letter that you have uploaded
- Confirm the information you have provided is correct and click Next
6. Upload any additional documents to prove your authorization to sell. This step is optional, you do not have to upload any additional documents if you have already uploaded them in the previous steps. Click on Finish and you are all done!
7. The following steps only apply if you have selected My supplier has permission from the intellectual property owner to resell.
Provide proof that your supplier has the authorization to resell:
- Upload a document proving your supplier has the authorization to resell. The document could be a letter from the owner or a letter from your supplier confirming that they are authorized to resell
- Confirm the information you have provided is correct and click Next
8. Provide proof of partnership between you and your supplier to resell:

- Upload a document to prove you have a partnership with your supplier. The document could be a letter issued by your supplier or a recent invoice showing purchase from your supplier
- Enter the name and website of your supplier
9. Provide contact information of your business representative for your supplier

- Enter the name, phone number, email and address for your supplier’s business representative that you are in contact with who can verify your partnership with your supplier
- Confirm the information you have provided is correct and click Next
10. Upload any additional documents to prove your authorization to sell. This step is optional, you do not have to upload any additional documents if you have already uploaded them in the previous steps. Click on Finish and you are all done!
NOTE that you can also create a brand authorization during a counterfeit dispute. Simply click Add New Brand Authorization under the Product Authorization section (shown below) and you will be redirected to the same process as described above:
