Merchants can gain a potential increase in impressions for their branded product listings by applying to become an Authentic Brand Seller. Specifically, merchants may apply to become an authentic seller of individual brands and earn “Authentic Brand Product” badges for branded products by providing certain brand trademark registration information.
Please note that this functionality is only available to select merchants who have demonstrated that they are sellers of authentic branded products.
Merchants can apply to become an Authentic Brand Seller by navigating to Products > Branded Products > Brand Directory on the Merchant Dashboard, clicking on a brand name, and selecting “Become an Authentic Brand Seller”.
Merchants can also apply to become an Authentic Brand Seller by navigating to Products > Brands > Authentic Brand Seller on the Merchant Dashboard.
Once you have navigated to the “Authentic Brand Seller” page, download the brand trademark registration templates (for sample documentation that will be required later in the application process) and/or click on “Apply.

If you navigated to the Authentic Brand Seller page through the Products > Brands > Authentic Brand Seller pathway, enter the name of the brand you are interested in becoming an Authentic Brand Seller of. If you cannot find the brand you are looking for, you can request to add a new brand to the Brand Directory. Learn more about requesting to add a new brand to the Brand Directory here.
Select the brand name you want to become an Authentic Brand Seller of and click “Continue”.
After choosing a brand, you will be asked to select an authorization type: Brand Owner (the person, company, or entity that owns the brand), Reseller with permission (if you are authorized by the brand owner as an authentic reseller), or Reseller without permission. Note that the Authentic Brand Seller feature is not available for Resellers without permission. However, Resellers without permission can still sell authentic branded products by tagging their listings with brand names in our Brand Directory (Learn more).
If you choose the Brand Owner authorization type, you will be directed to the following page. On this page, you will be asked to provide a documented list of the brand’s trademark registrations on the Brand Owner’s company letterhead. This document must include each trademark registration’s number, region, and expiration date. Note that suggested templates for the brand trademark registration document are available to download.
On this page, you will also be asked to fill out:
- The region(s) where the brand has trademark registrations
- The name of the Brand Owner
- The name, title, and contact information of the Brand Representative (the person who prepared the trademark registration document for this Authentic Brand Seller application)

If you choose the “Reseller with permission” authorization type, you will be directed to the following page where you will be asked to provide a documented list of the brand’s trademark registrations on the Brand Owner’s company letterhead. This document can be obtained from the Brand Owner and must include:
- Each trademark registration’s number, region, and expiration date
- A section in which the Brand Owner identifies your store as an authorized reseller of their brand’s products, including your Wish store name, Merchant ID, and contact information

On this page, you will also be asked to fill out:
- The region(s) where the brand has trademark registrations
- The name of the Brand Owner
- The name, title, and contact information of the Brand Representative (the person who prepared the trademark registration document for this Authentic Brand Seller application)

Once you have uploaded the necessary documents and provided region, Brand Owner, and Brand Representative information, click “Continue”.
After reading and agreeing to the Branded Product Declaration terms and conditions, click “Submit”.
You can view your Authentic Brand Seller applications on the Authentic Brand Seller page, along with your application submission dates and statuses. If your application has been approved, you will see a green Authentic Brand Product badge next to the corresponding brand name you have become an Authentic Brand Seller for.
If your application is rejected, you will see a description that states “Your latest application submitted on [date] is rejected.”
Click on each application tab to view more information about your application, including Application reference ID, Expiration Date, and Badge Region(s), which are the regions in which Wish customers will see the Authentic Product Badge on your branded product listings.
Click “View details” to see the following popup modal, which includes the above information plus the information provided in your application.
If your application has been rejected, you can click on “View Details” to view the same information, as well as reasons for your rejected application status. You can try applying to become an Authentic Brand Seller again with the correct documentation and requirements.
