1. What is the Uni-Inventory Program?
Uni-Inventory is a comprehensive fulfillment program that is designed to help merchants navigate challenges in warehouse operation and order fulfillment. It is intended to help merchants:
- Increase sales and conversion rates
- Protect merchants against refunds that are outside of their control
- Take the frustration out of warehouse operations and lower warehouse operation costs
- Improve order fulfillment efficiency and shorten the order’s estimated arrival time
- Positively impact customer satisfaction and lower logistics refund rates
2. How does the program benefit merchants?
Aside from the intentions listed above, after joining the program, merchants may have the opportunity to enjoy some of the following benefits:
- Additional product impressions (select products might be showcased through banners in-app, Faster Shipping section and/or participated in sales events)
- Short and accurate order estimated arrival time (reduce the order’s estimated arrival time by up to eight calendar days in the 25 destinations:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Puerto Rico, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States)
- Tracked shipping service and fast delivery time with no additional costs on merchants
- Logistics refund assurance
- No inventory management fee within 45 calendar days
- Efficient inventory management and order fulfillment service
- Competitive service rates (see the latest pricing card)
- Compensation for lost or damaged products
- Waiver of certain fulfillment infractions
Note that some benefits (e.g., additional product impressions, short and accurate order’s estimated arrival time, and logistics refund assurance) are only for general inbound requests.
3. How does the program work?
After merchants join the program, they simply need to create inbound requests and ship their inventory to WishPost-designated Uni-Inventory warehouses. The Uni-Inventory warehouses fulfill orders upon merchants’ outbound requests or auto-fulfillment settings including picking items from the warehouse shelves, packing for shipment, and sending out orders
The program supports fulfilling Advanced Logistics Program Orders and non-Advanced Logistics Program orders shipped via certain WishPost logistics channels.
Note: The WishPost logistics channels supported by the Uni-Inventory Program may be adjusted without notice, as we are constantly working with logistics partners to offer more choices for merchants. We strongly encourage merchants to check the channel list in advance.
(Please visit Uni-Inventory program’s operation guide for more details.)
To enjoy as many program benefits as possible, merchants are encouraged to complete the following:
- Map their products’ SKUs to the program
- Link Wish merchant accounts with the program
- Enable the auto-fulfillment feature
After merchants complete the mapping process, their products’ estimated arrival time shown to customers might be more accurate and shorter. Meanwhile, their products may have the opportunity to be displayed in the Faster Shipping section and gain more impressions.
Note: The auto-fulfillment feature is available for merchants using Dianxiaomi and the WishPost Uni-Inventory system. We will gradually roll it out to merchants using other ERPs and keep merchants posted. If merchants are interested in this feature or would like to disable it, please contact WishPost customer service.
4. What is the difference between general inbound requests and drop shipping inbound requests?
General inbound request:
Merchants can follow the process of creating general inbound requests, delivering inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse and creating outbound requests to enjoy the warehouse storage and order fulfillment service offered by the program. The Uni-Inventory warehouse takes care of order fulfillment including pick, pack, and ship upon merchants’ requests.
Effective July 7, 2023, 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, the program starts to charge a management fee for all inventory stored at the Uni-Inventory warehouses for more than 45 calendar days.
Drop shipping inbound request:
Merchants can create drop shipping inbound requests to leverage the Uni-Inventory warehouse as a transit warehouse. When creating drop shipping inbound requests, merchants only need to provide tracking numbers of their drop shipping orders and the corresponding WishPost shipping orders. After the Uni-Inventory warehouse confirms merchants’ drop shipping inbound requests and receives the corresponding goods, it then takes care of packing and shipping upon their requests.
Once again, please note that some program benefits (e.g., additional product impressions, short and accurate order estimated arrival time, and logistics refund assurance) are only for general inbound requests.
5. What is the auto-fulfillment feature?
The auto-fulfillment feature aims to further save merchants’ efforts, improve order fulfillment efficiency, shorten the order’s estimated arrival time, and thus potentially increase sales and conversion rates for merchants.
Specifically, once a Wish order is released, the auto-fulfillment feature automatically obtains order information and sends out the order in a timely manner.
The auto-fulfillment feature is available for merchants using Dianxiaomi and the WishPost Uni-Inventory system. We will gradually roll it out to merchants using other ERPs and keep merchants posted. If merchants are interested in this feature or would like to disable it, please contact WishPost customer service.
Note that merchants who enable the auto-fulfillment feature still need to create general inbound requests, and deliver inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse. Please prepare enough inventory in the warehouse and ensure WishPost accounts have enough balance so that the feature can run properly and the warehouse can fulfill orders in a timely manner.
6. Does the program help with infractions?
Yes, the program can waive the late fulfillment infraction(s) outlined in the Fulfillment policy and the late arrival fee outlined in the Advanced Logistics Program late fulfillment policy, if merchants meet the following requirements:
|
General inbound/outbound requests |
Drop shipping inbound requests |
Auto fulfillment feature |
Requirements |
General outbound requests are created and accepted in WishPost within 24 hours of the time after an order is released. |
Merchants’ goods are delivered and scanned into the Uni-Inventory warehouse within 24 hours of the time after an order is released. |
Orders are successfully fulfilled via auto-fulfillment feature. |
7. What is the logistics refund assurance offered by the program?
To protect merchants against refunds that are outside of merchants’ control, the program launches the logistics refund assurance, available to all Uni-Inventory merchants at no additional cost.
Specifically, if merchants meet certain refund requirements, the program will calculate and issue a certain amount of logistics refund based on the order’s gross merchandise value (GMV)
For orders refunded on and after May 26, 2023, 12:00 AM Beijing Time, the refund requirements are as the following:
Merchants using Dianxiaomi and the WishPost Uni-Inventory system |
Merchants using other ERP partners |
|
1 |
Advanced Logistics Program orders bound for 25 destinations: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Puerto Rico, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States |
|
2 |
Orders are successfully fulfilled by the auto-fulfillment feature. |
Products’ SKUs are mapped to the program and the corresponding orders are successfully fulfilled by the program. |
3 |
Orders are refunded with reasons “Shipping taking too long” or “Item marked delivered but user did not receive it.” |
If merchants meet all the requirements above, the program calculates and issues a certain amount of logistics refunds based on the eligible order’s GMV. Specifically,
Order’s GMV |
Refund amount |
Less than $10 |
Shipping cost of the order |
Equal to or greater than $10 |
70% GMV of the order |
On the 10th of every month (starting July 2023), we will calculate eligible refunds and start to issue them to merchants’ WishPost accounts. Refunds that occur before and on the 25th of the previous month will be calculated. Refunds that occur after the 25th will be calculated in the following month.
Note that logistics refunds are calculated and issued only once. If an order meets both refund requirements of the Uni-Inventory Program and Advanced Logistics Refund Assurance, we apply Uni-Inventory Program’s calculation method and issue the logistics refund accordingly.
8. What is the addresses for the Uni-Inventory warehouses?
Merchants can deliver their relevant inventory to our Dongguan Uni-Inventory warehouses:
- Address: 广东省东莞市黄江镇田星路39号巨卓科创园3楼Wish联仓
- Contact person: Wish Uni-Inventory
- Contact phone number for receiving packages: 18002550937
9. How can merchants deliver their relevant inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse?
At the launch of the program, merchants shall self-deliver the inventory to the Uni-Inventory warehouse using shipping methods of their own choices. As the program grows in the future, we may also provide pickup services and will promptly notify merchants of any updates.
10. Are there any inbound requirements?
Yes. Please carefully read through the program’s inbound requirements and create inbound orders, pack items, and attach labels accordingly.
11. How do I pay for the shipping cost?
Please note that merchants still need to follow the current process to create shipping orders via WishPost for fulfilling their orders, including selecting the appropriate logistics channel and paying the shipping fee in WishPost.
12. When will the inventory be checked in and sent out?
Please allow 24 hours for the warehouse to check in the inventory upon receipt and to send out the order upon receiving the outbound request.
13. What if the inventory is lost or damaged?
The Uni-Inventory Program will compensate 70% of the product’s selling price set by merchants (exclude the shipping price), up to 500 RMB per product, for the situations below:
- The inventory is lost in the Uni-Inventory warehouse;
- The inventory is damaged in the Uni-Inventory warehouse and cannot be sold;
- The inventory is lost when delivering from the Uni-Freight warehouse to the Advanced Logistics Program warehouse.
14. Are there any other discounts that merchants can enjoy?
Yes, the Uni-Inventory Program has a few limited-time Inventory Discount available to all WishPost merchants:
- Bulk inbound discount - up to 30% off
- Weekly bulk outbound subsidy (for general inbound requests only) - up to 60% off
Discount 1 - Bulk inbound discount
At 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, on the first day of every month, the system will calculate the overall inventory quantity that the Uni-Inventory warehouses have received and checked in for merchants in the previous month. Based on the inventory quantity, it will calculate and apply the corresponding bulk inbound discount on the operational fees for this month. The more inventory checked in the Uni-Inventory warehouses, the higher discount rate merchants can enjoy (up to 30% off).
The bulk inbound discount is valid to June 30, 2024, 11:59 PM, Beijing Time.
Discount 2 - Weekly bulk outbound subsidy (for general inbound requests only)
At 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, every Monday, the system will calculate the average daily order volume that the Uni-Inventory warehouses have fulfilled for merchants in the previous week. Based on the previous week’s average daily order GMV, it will calculate and apply the corresponding weekly bulk outbound subsidy to the operation fees for all orders that the Uni-Inventory warehouses fulfilled in the previous week. The more orders fulfilled via the Uni-Inventory Program every week, the higher the discount rate merchants can enjoy.
Average daily order GMV | Discount rate |
1000 > X ≥ 300 | 50% off |
2000 > X ≥ 1000 | 80% off |
3000 > X ≥ 2000 | 90% off |
X ≥ 3000 | 100% off |
Please see the latest pricing card for more subsidy details.
The Weekly bulk outbound subsidy (for general inbound requests only) is valid to June 30, 2024, 11:59 PM, Beijing Time.
Please note that all the limited-time discounts mentioned above only apply to the operation fees and will not be combined. If merchants are eligible to enjoy all these discounts, the system will calculate and apply the higher discount rate. For more about the discounts, please go to the program’s homepage and download the pricing cards.
Additionally, the Uni-Inventory warehouses have limited space. Therefore, please contact the Uni-Inventory customer service in advance to ensure that inventory can be successfully checked into the warehouses and discounts can be applied in a timely manner.
To better calculate discounts for merchants, the program adjusts the fee charging time from 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, every day to 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, every Monday. As a result, after the Uni-Inventory warehouses complete merchants’ outbound requests, the corresponding fee will be held until 12:00 AM, Beijing Time, next Monday; at that point the fee will be released and deducted.
To learn more about the two discounts mentioned above, please visit the WishPost Uni-Inventory homepage.
