Providing valid tracking information for your orders makes customers happy, increases their trust, and provides proof of your order fulfillment. Having a valid tracking number also means that Wish can confirm your order fulfillment and pay you for that order in a timely manner (see the Merchant Policy, "Fees and Payments," for more information on order payment eligibility and confirmed fulfillment).
Note that an order is not eligible for payment if it cannot be confirmed fulfilled with a valid tracking number. Therefore, Wish mandates a valid tracking number when you mark an order “shipped” or modify the tracking information of an order already marked “shipped”. To learn more about how to fulfill orders and provide valid tracking numbers, please visit this article.
Below is an example of the potential consequence of merchants providing invalid tracking numbers:
- Order is released to merchants on Mar 2 and estimated delivery time is 12-15 days;
- Merchant marks the order “shipped” on Mar 3 with an invalid tracking number (i,e., Wish system cannot track it);
- On Mar 20, the user complains that she didn't receive the order, and Wish issues a refund. The order is not eligible for payment.
Note that adding a valid tracking number after a refund has been processed will not change the order's payment eligibility. An ineligible order will not become eligible for payment if the refund has already been issued.
